Jane Ann Stewart-Wilz

PARDEEVILLE  –  Jane Ann Stewart-Wilz, age 59, of Pardeeville, WI, passed peacefully at home with family by her side on April 23, 2014 after a courageous battle against cancer.

Jane was born on May 29, 1954 to Rodney B. Stewart and Dorothy (Mittelstaedt) Stewart in Portage, WI where she spent her childhood. She graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a degree in Birth to Three Special Needs Education, working for many years as a teacher in multiple locations. On October 16, 1981 Jane married Larry R. Wilz and moved back to the Portage area where they raised two daughters. After raising her children, she went back to work as a bookkeeper at Wilz Drug. Jane’s life was full of travel, which she loved doing with both family and friends. Her laughter and camaraderie were infectious; she loved reading, gardening and all things nature. She will be painfully missed.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Larry Wilz, her two daughters, Chelsea Kandel and Lauren (Kevin) Jonas, her “best fella” (grandson) Alexander Kandel, her brother Michael Stewart, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation to celebrate her life and precious time with us will be held at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  A private burial will follow.

Her family would like to thank all of their family and friends who have helped support them and Jane while on this emotional journey.
