Mary Lou Bade

PORTAGE  --  Mary Lou Bade, age 86, of Portage, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Tivoli in Portage.

Mary was born on August 22, 1927 in Pardeeville, the daughter of Alex and Lydia (Parmaley) Finkenstein.  She had worked at Service Drug in Portage for many years.

She is survived by three sons, Gary (Jeannie) Bade Curtis, Hastings, IA, Douglas (Chris) Bade, Sioux Falls, SD, and Dennis (Susan) Bade, Beach Park, IL;  her brother, Alex (Joyce) Finkenstein, Jr., Florida;  nine grandchildren, Mike Goetz, Schaumburg, IL, Heidi Goetz, New York, NY, Lana Bade, Brooklyn Park, MN, Scott Bade, Chaska, MN, Lauren Bade, Sioux Falls, SD, Eric Bade (Jacki) Carpentersville, IL, Sara (Charlie) Hallstrom, Streamwood, IL, Michelle (Corey) Karpin, San Louis Obispo, CA, and Michael Longa, Boulder, CA;  four great-grandchildren, Gavin and Nolan Bade, Edina, MN, Rowen and Simone Karpin, San Louis Obispo, CA;  other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Bade, a daughter, Timmie Goetz, a brother, Sonny Finkenstein, and a sister, Donna Finkenstein.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Portage, with the Rev. Vicki Warren officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.
