Steven F. Multerer

POYNETTE  --  Steven F. Multerer, age 59, of Poynette, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Steven was born on January 3, 1955 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the son of Thomas and Marguerite “Margie” (Gores) Multerer.  He was married to the former Patricia Knowles.  He had many gifts that he shared with everyone he knew. Steven chefed at Maple Bluff Country Club, Howard Johnsons, and Lake Windsor Country Club, and was a food and beverage manager at Trappers Turn and the Wilderness.  After many years in the restaurant industry, Steve changed careers to over the road trucking, where he was known as the “Culinary Cowboy”.

He is survived by his wife, Patti “Butch”;  his parents, Thomas and Margie Multerer, Mequon, WI / Naples, FL ;  his parents-in-law, Ken and Jean Knowles, Spring Green, WI;  his siblings, Peggy (Michael) McMahon, Sue McMahon, and T. J. (Cathy) Multerer;  Patti’s siblings, Ken (Brenda) Knowles, Dick (Rita) Knowles, and Sue (Chip) VanMeter;  his special God Daughters, Shannon Rössles and Haley Multerer;  many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother-in-law, William McMahon. 

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter St., Middleton, WI  53562, with the Rev. Msgr. Douglas Dushack presiding.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
