Ronald L. Beske

PORTAGE  --   Ronald L. Beske, age 68, of Portage, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Wm. S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison.

Ron was born on April 14, 1946 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, the son of Carl and Evelyn (Schoeffel) Beske.  He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, 1963 to 1966.  Ron was married to Jane Tomlinson on August 20, 2005.  He had worked as a carpenter.  Ron enjoyed fishing.  He was a member of Grace Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jane;  his son, Mark (Megan) Beske, Iola;  his step-son, Shawn (Jessica Cross) Wenger, Poynette;  three grandchildren, Emily Cross, Taylor and Tyler Beske;  two brothers, Richard Beske, Bunnlevel, NC, and Brian Beske, Norfolk, VA;  his sister, Marlene Vandewalker, Elgin, IL;  other near relatives and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a special step-son, Jesse Wenger.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Grace Bible Church, with Rev. Mike Gormican and Dr. Steve Corbett officiating.  Inurnment will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Poynette, at a later date, with military honors.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
