Marilyn M. Haas

POYNETTE  --  Marilyn M. Haas, age 79, of Poynette, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home in Poynette. 

Marilyn was born on June 16, 1934, in Keyser, the daughter of Alex and Helen (Browbender) Krier.  She was married to Marvin A. Haas, Sr. for over 50 years, preceding her in death in 1992.  Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, gardening, raising all types of flowers, watching game shows, and reading.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially her new great-granddaughter.  Marilyn was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Ranae Haas, Poynette; her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Haas, her grandchildren, Marvin III, Kyle, Dalton, and great-granddaughter, Amelia, all of Rochester, MN, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Marvin Jr., her grandson, Travis, and her sisters, Gladys, Loranne, and June.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette with family friend, Tina Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.   

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
