Michael “Mike” Ryan Kittle

PORTAGE  --  Michael “Mike” Ryan Kittle, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2014 as the result of an accident at his place of work.

Mike was born on August 28, 1984 in Madison, the son of Darren W. and Denise (Wilkinson) Kittle.  He was employed by Wieser Concrete in Portage.  Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved bow hunting, duck hunting and fishing, and cherished looking forward to teaching his daughter, Aubrie, those things that he loved.  

He is survived in death by his fiancé and only love, Katie, and their daughter, Aubrie “Punkin”, Rio;  his father and step-mother, Darren (Allyssa) Kittle, Tomah;  his mother and step-father, Denise (Ron) Byrd, Portage;  his sister, Melissa (Kelly Hendrickson) Kittle and their children, Aayden, Kelly, Baylan, and Aveigha, Portage;  his step-brothers, Jacob Byrd, Portage, Nate McCallister, Madison, and Brandon Knutson, Chippewa Falls;  his future father-in-law, Tony (Michele) Elsing, Waldo;  his future mother-in-law, Laureen (Todd Yaroch) Gilray, Poynette;  his future brothers-in-law, Christopher Showers and Austin Elsing, Waldo;  his future sister-in-law, Erin (Josh) LaVen, Mequon;  his Goddaughter, Ava and nephew, Caleb, Cascade;  his grandmother, LaVerne Wilkinson, Lodi;  his grandmother, Delores Spriggs, Bloomington, IN;  his dearest and most inseparable friend, Willie Colstad;  his newest hunting buddy, Drake;  aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry (Delia) Kittle and Orval Wilkinson;  his uncle, Rodney Kittle;  and his dear friend, Bear.

Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
