Tyler Joseph Sweeney

OXFORD– Tyler Joseph Sweeney and his brother, Gunner Mikkel Sweeney were born to eternal life due to an automobile accident on Sunday, October 26, 2014. They will be greatly missed.

Tyler age 18, was a senior at Westfield High School and would have graduated spring of 2015.  He aspired to the political arena and was known to express his deep commitments to others. He took action for what he believed in.  He enjoyed helping others and sought nothing in return.  He worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Poynette, and most recently at Chula Vista Resort. 

Survivors include his father, Joseph F.E. Sweeney (Alyssa Persack), Oxford; mother, Holli (Brian) Berner, Poynette, his brother, Raiden James Sweeney; his sisters, Hannah, Katelynn, Grace and Genevieve Berner; his grandparents, Dennis Floyd Sweeney, Cambria; John and Jeanne Caswell, Portage; Scott Kindred, North Freedom, and Dave and Bonnie Berner, Madison; his great-grandparents, Delores Sweeney, Cambria; Norton and Norma Caswell and Robert McDonnell, all of Milford, Michigan, Alice Boe, Monona, and Jeanette Berner, Luck; cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and very dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Teresa Kindred.                         

Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with service immediately following at John Muir Elementary School, 2600 Woodcrest Drive, Portage, with Rev. David Hankins and Rev. Thomas Grey co-officiating.

 In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family towards a memorial bench. The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
