Louise E. Weber

PORTAGE  --   Louise E. Weber, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at her home in Portage.

Louise Weber was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 15, 1928. She was the second child of Carl T. Grendahl and JoHanna (Mueller) Grendahl. Louise excelled in her love of music from a very young age. She enjoyed playing piano most and this passion carried on throughout her life. Louise married the love of her life Wilfred O. Weber on January 5, 1946. They had two beautiful daughters. Will and Louise moved their family to California in the 1950’s. Louise prided herself at being a housewife and full time mother. Her love of music continued as she played piano for her church family and sang in the church choir. Will and Louise also had the opportunity of being very involved in the raising of their two grandsons.  Louise was ever supportive and proud of her entire family and their accomplishments. Will and Louise moved the family to WI in June of 1989. Louise became involved with Grace and Douglas Bible Churches.  She played piano accompaniment for them for many years. She was so proud to welcome into the family her great grandchildren and again excelled in the assistance of raising the next generation. Louise passed as she wished at home, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Weber-Northam and Darlene Weber-Forney;   grandchildren, Shonn Northam, Shane Northam and Heather McGuinness;  great- grandchildren, Thalia Chavez, Emma Northam, Ethan Northam, Jordan Chavez, Evrett Northam, Shaun McGuinness and Shaelynn McGuinness;  sister-in-law, Jean Grendahl; other relatives and many friends.  Louise was preceded into heaven by her parents, Carl T. Grendahl and JoHanna Mueller-Grendahl, her brother, Henry “Hank” Grendahl, her husband of 61 years, Wilfred O. Weber, and son-in-law, Bill Forney.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Grace Bible Church in Portage with Rev. Mike Gormican officiating and co-officiants, Rev. Dominick Thoman and Pastor Buddy Head.  Burial will follow in Briggsville Protestant Cemetery.  The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
