Penny Jo Wylesky

MINNEAPOLIS  --  Penny Jo Wylesky, age 40, of Minneapolis, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at her home in Minneapolis, MN.

Penny was born on January 12, 1974 in Portage, the daughter of Richard A. and Judy A. (Moody) Wylesky. Penny grew up in Rio and graduated from Rio High School in1992. She then went to UW River Falls graduating with a degree in Elementary Education and also Special Education. Penny loved attending the Minnesota State Fair and hunting with her father. She liked garage sales, shopping and baking. She also collected cow memorabilia.

She is survived by her mother, Judy LaMarche, Pardeeville; sisters, Jennifer Goodinson, Pardeeville and Heidi Wylesky, Forest Park, Georgia; two nephews, Ryan and Ross Goodinson, Columbus; grandmother, Gertrude Wylesky, Doylestown; special friend, Kurt; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Wylesky, May 20, 1996, her maternal grandparents, Ted and Caroline Moody, paternal grandfather, Vincent Wylesky and several very special aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dick Inglett officiating. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from  12:00 noon     until the time of the service at the church. The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
