Jane E. (Burright) Herrington

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP – Jane E. (Burright) Herrington, age 83, of Caledonia Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at her home in Caledonia Township. 

Jane was born on September 26, 1934, in Portage, the daughter of Merrill and Lillian (Reppine) Burright. She married Eugene Herrington on April 19, 1980.  Jane enjoyed pitching horse shoes, gambling at casinos and traveling, especially to the West coast.   

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Herrington, of Portage; her children, Debra (Larry) Mielke, of Portage, Brenda (Michael) Mossbarger, of  Fort Wayne, Indiana and Bobbi (Chris) Vernon, of Portage; her step-children, Kimee (Danny) Satler, of Washington state, Karla (Duane) Hollendyke, of Pardeeville, Kelly (David) Rusher, of Portage, Kori Howell, of Pardeeville, Kandi (Paulo) Munaro, of Stockton, California and Kriste (Matt) Claussen, of Florence, Oregon; her grandchildren, Donald, Tammy, and Michael (Nikki) Mielke, Julie Reick, David and Dylan Temby, Alyssa Vernon, 12 step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Marge Putman, of Baraboo, Lyla Barton, of Pardeeville, and Larry (Joanne) Simerson, of Adams, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, William Heaton, her son, Russell Heaton, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.  

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage (www.pmmfh.com), with Rev. Gloria Stubitsch officiating.  Inurnment will be private at Silver Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
