Gordon E. "Hutch" Hutchinson

WYOCENA – Gordon E. “Hutch” Hutchinson, age 76, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Columbia Healthcare Center in Wyocena. 

Gordon was born on October 2, 1941, in Lowville Township and grew up on the family farm there, the son of Earl and Irene (Irons) Hutchinson.  He graduated from Poynette High School and worked for the Oconomowoc Canning Company and the Mackenzie Environmental Center,  He later worked at Gisholt Company in Madison until they closed, and then at Kearney Trecker Company in West Allis as a machinist.  Gordon enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and being at home with family.      

He is survived by his brothers, George Hutchinson, of Estes Park, Colorado, William (Elizabeth) Hutchinson, of Rio; his sisters, Alice Maier, of Saddle Ridge, Arlene (Keith) Matthews, of Portage, and Mary (Michael) Bink, of Plover, many nieces nephews other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Amy Maier. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 10, 2018, at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral home in Portage, with Chaplain Nancy Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Inch Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
