Bryan Donald Johnson

MINNEAPOLIS / POYNETTE, WI  --  Bryan Donald Johnson, 34, treasured and beloved son of James and Susan Johnson, died tragically in a skiing accident in Zermatt, Switzerland on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

Bryan graduated from Poynette High School in 2002.  He went on to the University of Minnesota and the Carlson School of Management, graduating in 2006.  He then began his career at MTS Systems Corporation in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where he continued until the time of his death.  His latest job position title was Finance Manager-Project Engineering.  Bryan excelled at his job.  He was so humble and never boasting about his accomplishments, though he had many;  it was just the way our Bryan lived his life.

Bryan was a very special man.  His heart was so kind, respectful and generous.  Even in death he was very giving and helped six people live on through organ donation.  He was thoughtful beyond belief.  He could bring his Mom to tears with his loving gestures and give her the giggles with his comments or his quick texts.  He and his brother Andrew shared a very close bond, and Andrew will miss him terribly.  Weekends spent with his Dad, brother or his uncles in Minnesota were always special.  They always all left with a feeling that great times were had by all.  We as Bryan’s parents know how his extended family is grieving along with us, we all loved him.

Bryan loved to travel.  He loved new experiences and was always up for an adventure.  He liked working out, bicycling, triathlons, jogging and had a passion for downhill skiing.  Family was very important to Bryan, his immediate family and extended family, he always made time for all of us.

In addition to his grieving parents, Bryan leaves behind his brother and family:  Andrew and Nikki, their children, Boston, Dexter, Mack and Miles, whom he cherished.  He was a proud Godfather to all his nephews.  Bryan also leaves behind so many loving and dear Aunts and Uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues around the world.

Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grace and Vernon Johnson and Gladys and Donald Holl, all of Poynette, and other dear relatives.

We cannot express enough what a wonderful son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin Bryan was to all of us.  It breaks our hearts for us, and for him, that he lost his life too soon.  Until we are together again, we love you to the heavens and back.  Alright, we will all say it, just for you, one time, “Go Gophers!”  Love you Bryan and miss you.

A Memorial service will be held at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, WI on April 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 until the time of service.

Bryan would welcome any memorials in his name to be to the charity of your choice.

Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home is assisting the family.
