Robert “Bob” Charles Waldo Buffalo Township – Robert "Bob” Charles Waldo, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Montello on Monday, April 16, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on March 1, 1931, in Chicago, IL, the son of Ralph and Teresa (Gleason) Waldo. He proudly served his country in the US Airforce during the Korean War. He married Dorothy Rosenbrook. Bob worked as a Special Services Technician for Illinois Bell, and then 24 years as an Installation Supervisor for Wisconsin Bell prior to retiring in 1986. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage. Bob loved his family, golfing, fishing and hunting, having bow hunted both elk and deer. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Montello; 4 children, Ken (Mary) Waldo, Kevin (Cathie) Waldo, Blaine (Julie Krahn) Waldo, Laureen Slater; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for their care of Bob.
