Frances Sue Geers

PORTAGE  --  Frances Sue Geers, age 92, of Saddle Ridge, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Fr. Jim Murphy officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

Sue was born on March 13, 1916 in Vandalia, Missouri.  She had worked for many years as a secretary for the Caterpillar Tractor Company.  Sue was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage.

She is survived by her son, John Geers, Inverness, Florida;  three grandsons, Michael (Shelly) Geers, Garrettsville, Ohio, Patrick Geers, Inverness, Florida, and Phillip Geers, Pinellas Park, Florida;  four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Courtney and Katie;  her sister-in-law, Roselyn Utech, Ponca City, Oklahoma;  other near relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, her daughter-in-law, Mary, and her sister, Marjorie.
