Lloyd H. Bohman

PORTAGE  --  Lloyd H. Bohman, age 84, of Portage, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Fr. Jim Murphy presiding.  Inurnment will be in Bloomer Catholic Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

Lloyd Bohman was born on January 24, 1925 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the son of Louis and Lucille (Dow) Bohman.  He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1943.  Lloyd was married on October 13, 1951 to Jeanette Siverling at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer, Wisconsin.  He had worked for Armour for 17 years and AMPI for 28 years as a mechanical engineer.  Lloyd’s interests and activities included fishing, hunting, grilling, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was a fan of the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.  Lloyd was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage, and he was a member of the band, The Midget Melodians.

He is survived by three children, Gary Bohman, Portage, Sally (Chuck) Paul, Janesville, and Deb (Morrie) Steiner, Portage;  his grandchildren, Keith (Sarah) Paul, Portage, Megan (William) Webber, Buffalo, MN, Corey (Rose) Paul, Janesville, Cheri Paul (friend, Rob Hefty), Janesville, and Ellen Steiner, Portage;  his great-grandchildren, Kaylie Paul, Autumn Paul, and William Webber;  other near relatives and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
