Phyllis Jean Haak

PORTAGE/BROOKFIELD  -- Phyllis Jean Haak, age 61, of Brookfield, formerly of Portage, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Wheaton Franciscan Woods, in Brookfield.

Phyllis was born on January 20, 1948, in Portage, the daughter of Herman and Jean (Martin) Ziehmke, Jr. She married Richard Haak at St. Raphael Cathedral on September 25, 1971.  Phyllis was a graphic designer and owned Computer Communiqués, in Brookfield. 

She is survived by her husband, Richard, Brookfield, her father, Herman Ziehmke, Portage, her sisters, Jane Ziehmke, Waukesha, Kay Bryan, Madison, Gail (Dean) Meister, Brooklyn, WI, Caryl (Richard) Biege, Sun Prairie, Sue (Greg) Fahey, Carlsbad, CA, her brother, David (Patty) Ziehmke, Portage, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great-nieces, 1 great-nephew, aunts, uncles, many other relatives and close friends.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Jean, her mother-in-law, Frances Padrutt Haak, and her father-in-law, Melvin E. Haak. 

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Rev. Paula Bremer officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home.
