William “Willie” J. Heim

PORTAGE  -- William “Willie” J. Heim, age 59, of Portage, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009.

William was born on September 13, 1950 in Milwaukee, the son of Julius and Ruth (Galigan) Heim.  He was married to Stephanie Weeks on January 21, 1978 in Las Vegas.  He had been employed at Portage Casting & Molding from 1981 until 2009.  Willie loved classic cars and had collected coins. 

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie “Stevie” Heim, Portage;  his son, Geoffrey Heim, Portage;  his daughter, Emily Heim (Stanley Swanson), Reedsburg;  his sister, Pat (Ken) Schneider, Brookfield, WI;  his father- and mother-in-law, Dick and Joanne Weeks, Portage;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives, close friends;  and his two dogs, Cleo and Hamlet.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike Heim.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home, 430 W. Wisconsin St., Portage, WI  53901.  Fr. Jim Murphy will officiate.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.
