Genevieve M. Lytle McMahon

PORTAGE  -- Genevieve M. Lytle McMahon, age 88, of Portage, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2009 at Maple Ridge Elder Care Home in Portage. 

Genevieve was born on April 29, 1921, in Portage, the daughter of Ellsworth and Anna Grams Lytle.  She married Francis G. McMahon and together they raised a family of four children.  Genevieve was a homemaker, an avid singer in the Sweet Adelines, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portage.

Genevieve is survived by her son, Timothy McMahon, Tucson, AZ, two daughters, Kathleen Wilson-Batye, Concord, CA, and Elizabeth McMahon, Sneads Ferry, NC; two granddaughters, Jacqueline Francis (Cayce) Werner-Rivers, Fremantle, Australia, DeLin (Alan) Wilson-Finley, Concord, CA, a great-grandson, Cooper Rivers, Fremantle, Australia, a sister, Evelyn Lytle-Smith, Wyocena, other relatives and friends.    Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis, one daughter, Anne McMahon Werner, eight sisters, and one brother.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home, in Portage, with Fr. Jim Murphy presiding.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
