Ramona M. Rataczak

MONTELLO  --  Ramona M. Rataczak, age 80, of Montello, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in the Township of Buffalo, with Fr. John Hedrick presiding.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Ramona was born on November 22, 1928 in Montello, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Wuerch) Robicheau.  She was married to Donald Rataczak, who preceded her in death.  Ramona had worked for Ray-O-Vac in Portage for over 25 years.  She was a member of Calico Capers, was an avid gardener, an excellent seamstress, and had a great love for her family.  Ramona was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Buffalo.

She is survived by her children, David (Jean) Rataczak, Montello, and children, Jeff (Jill) Rataczak and children, Kati and Moriah, and Kari (Shaun) Bagley;  Daniel (Shari) Rataczak, Montello, and children, Kori (Greg) Coddington and daughter, Lilly, and Matthew (Mindy) Rataczak;  Susan (Russell) Simonson, Montello, and children, Sara (Marc) Brockley and children, Isaac and Emmett, Jeremy Simonson, Mitchel Reed Simonson, and extended family, Gary, Mitchell and Nancy;  Theresa (Joel) Jaster, Montello, and children, Benjamin Jaster and Jacob Jaster;  her very special friend, William Metcalf;  sister-in-law, Marie Robicheau;  brother-in-law, Francis (Rose) Rataczak;  sister-in-law, Joyce Ferge;  brother-in-law, Robert Zellmer;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Dennis, and her brother, Robert Robicheau.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to Northwoods of Wisconsin, N6510 Hwy. 16-51, Portage, WI  53901.
