Joseph E. Remm

PORTAGE  --  Joseph E. Remm, age 73, of Saddle Ridge, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at University Hospital in Madison.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pardeeville, with Fr. John Hedrick presiding.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday at the church.

Joseph was born on July 21, 1935 in Milwaukee, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Braun) Remm.  He was married on November 10, 1956 in Brookfield, WI, to Marlene Majeski.  Joseph had worked for Wisconsin Bell for 38 years, and had served his country with the Army National Guard.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pardeeville.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene;  three children, Andy (Peggy) Remm, Endeavor, Lora (Donald) Murray, Menomonee Falls, WI, and Connie (Bruce) Seibel, Lake Mills;  grandchildren, Andrew Remm, Jessica (Jesse) Lindgren, Lindsey Remm, Ryan Murray, Rebecca Murray, Caitlin Conley, and Adam Seibel;  a great-granddaughter, Hailey Remm;  a brother, John (Kathy) Remm, Milwaukee;  a sister, Margaret (Gil) Wehking, Milwaukee;  two sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Imberi, South Dakota, and Maggie Remm, Milwaukee;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn son, and three brothers, Tom, Paul, and Larry Remm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UW Transplant Clinic, or the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to thank the Transplant Coordinator, Jamie Meyers, and all the doctors, nurses, and staff of University Hospital in Madison.
