Michele M. Pickette

PORTAGE  --  Michele M. Pickette, age 48, of Portage  passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at University Hospital in Madison.

Michele was born on September 14, 1962 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Donald and Eileen Pickette. She served her country with the U.S. Army for three years during Desert Storm. Michele had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Care Wisconsin -Elder House. She was proud of serving her country, she also enjoyed crafts; she loved reading and finding antiques on the weekends. 

She is survived by her parents, Donald Pickette, CA, Eileen Pickette, FL; her children, Dennis (Tara Schrank) Redd, Portage, Daniel Matthews, Boston, MA; her brother, Donald Pickette, FL, Jon Pickette, NV; her nieces, Shiobhan and Cathleen Pickette; her nephew, Sean Pickette; and special friend, David Redd, Portage. She is also survived by two grandchildren, many other relatives and close friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents and very special friend, Joseph Kazsuba.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home-Portage with Fr. James Murphy presiding. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
