Steven H. Kluge

 

PORTAGE  --  Steven  H.  Kluge, age 58, of the Township of Fort Winnebago, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison with his family by his side.

Steve was born on August 4, 1952, in Portage, the son of Harold and Elizabeth (Dittberner) Kluge.  He lived on the family farm while also working for Strue Construction, Timme Construction, and Davis Construction of Portage.  Steve enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. 

Steve will be sadly missed by his dear friend, JJ (Jeannette Jones); his son, Jason Kluge; his brothers, Greg (Deb) Kluge, Rick (Sandy) Kluge, and Terry (Margo) Kluge; his sisters, Lori (Jeff) Klawitter, and Sue (Randy) Rogers; his uncle, Henry (Meta) Kluge; his aunt, Doris Dittberner; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends from Wisconsin, Canada, and North Carolina.  Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jeff.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Inurnment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage.  Visitation will be held on Friday, from 3:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home.
