William John Anacker

 

PORTAGE –  William John Anacker, age 56, of Portage, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 from pneumonia at University Hospital in Madison.

Bill completed Portage High School in 1973, and went on to graduate from Western Technical College in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, with an associate’s degree.  He was a lifelong resident of Portage and worked in his father’s business, Anacker Refrigeration, carrying on the business after his father’s death.

Bill, who was born in Portage, was preceded in death by his parents, Vearl O. and Virginia Hill Anacker.  He is survived by his brother, James Robert Anacker, of Bellevue, Nebraska.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Rev. Dr. Carol Hermann officiating.  Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Portage.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.
