Thomas P. “Tom” Riggio

RIO – Thomas P. “Tom” Riggio, age 54, of Rio, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at his home in Rio.

Thomas was born on July 16, 1956 in Madison, the son of James and Elsie (Peterson) Riggio.  Tom worked for Dann and Wendt in Rio for 27 years. He was a member of the Dalton Rod and Gun Club. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.                  

Thomas is survived by his mother, Elsie (Riggio) Schliesman, Wyocena; his son, Jerome Riggio, Rio; his sister, Chris (Daryl) Steinhorst, Poynette; his brother, Jim Riggio, Sanford, Fl;  nephew, Brandon (Darcy) Steinhorst, Poynette; niece, Kari (Mike) Massa, Clinton, WI, nephew, Tony Riggio, Elcho, WI; 5 great nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Riggio.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette.  Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
