Glenn A. Roesler PORTAGE – Glenn A. Roesler, age 81, went to meet his Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Glenn was born on November 8, 1929, in Big Springs, the son of Arthur and Roxie (Clemmons) Roesler. As an active member of Portage Assembly of God, Glenn shared his passion for singing and whistling for the Lord. His membership in the Portage Boat Club complemented his passion for water activities and the outdoors. Until his retirement, Glenn managed the cheese factory in Wyocena and worked as an AMPI salesmen. Together with his wife, Marion, he was a co-owner of the Ridge Motor Inn in Portage, the Best Western in Baraboo, and the Best Western Resort Hotel in Portage. Glenn, a devoted husband, father, mentor and Christian example for his wife, Marion, three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, will be remembered for his gentle, quiet spirit and soft-spoken nature. Glenn is survived by his wife, Marion Roesler, Portage; his children, Kathleen (Larry) Ketterer, Perkasie, Penn.; Rick (Janarl) Roesler, Portage; and Angela Campbell, DeForest; his grandchildren, Scott (Katie) Austin, Furlong, Penn.; Tiffany Campbell, and Krystle Campbell, both of DeForest; Tyler Roesler, and Victoria Roesler, both of Portage; his great-grandchildren, Leah Austin, Erin Austin, and Maggie Austin; a brother, Leslie (Barbara) Roesler, Wisconsin Dells, and many other relatives and friends. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Lyle, his son-in-law, Rick Campbell, and his granddaughter, Krissy Rose Campbell. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
