Richard L. Engelhardt

 

BRIGGSVILLE –  Richard L. Engelhardt, age 64, of Briggsville, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the VA Hospital in Madison.  He died of a short, but brave battle with bile duct cancer. 

Richard served honorably in Vietnam, from 1967-68, in the Army 20th Battalion Combat Engineers.  He worked for 17 years at Denoyer-Geppert Co. in Chicago, and the last 13 years at Iron Skillet Restaurant at Petro in Portage. 

He is survived by a brother, James, Brunswick, Germany; an aunt and uncle, Eleanor and Bob Willwerth, Arlington Heights, IL; a cousin, Beth Willwerth, DesPlaines, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William. 

Richard was laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
