Mary A. Frank

PORTAGE –  Mary A. Frank, age 84, of Portage, died on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Tivoli in Portage.

Mary was born on September 3, 1928 in Portage, the daughter of Dennis and Hazel (Simerson) McCarthy. She was married to Jerome C. Frank, who preceded her in death on June 28, 1974.  Mary had worked at Badger Ordinance, AMPI, and had done child care.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.  Mary loved watching Packer’s games.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Chris (Larry) McFarlane, Portage, and Margaret (Kevin) Ebert, Montello; her grandchildren, Jason (Tammy) McFarlane, Mosinee, Kevin Ebert, Jr., Montello, Nathan (Janice) McFarlane, Black River Falls, Kelly (Greg) Grotzke, Portage, and Krystal Ebert, Montello; her great-grandchildren, Conner and Emma McFarlane, Kelsey Ebert, Domnick Freeman, Kaylee Ebert, Leigh Anna Ebert, and Sierra and Chloe McFarlane; her sisters, Norma Bialcowski, Wausau, Kathy (Alvin) Blackburn, Reedsburg, and Rosie Stevens, Baraboo, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerome, a sister, Helen Nelson, a brother, Roy McCarthy, and 2 sisters and a brother in infancy. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Portage, with Fr. Jim Murphy presiding.  Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Visitation will also be held on Monday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
