Marion D. Morrison

PORTAGE/POYNETTE – Marion D. Morrison, age 92, of Portage, died on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Tivoli in Portage. 

Marion was born on November 12, 1919, in Hecla, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Nettie (Allen) Pfutzenreuter.  She was married to Roy Morrison on December 28, 1964.  He preceded her in death in 1985.  Marion was hired at Oscar Mayer Co. in Madison in 1943, and was employed there in the accounting office for 38 years.  Marion was an Oscarette, and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary at VFW #10266.  She had been a member of the Grade Boat Club.    

Marion is survived by her step-children, Douglas (Diana) Morrison, Roger W. (Jean) Morrison, Kent (Mary) Morrison, Brad (David Bluma) Morrison, Gloria J. (Edwin) Davis, Rhonda (Paul) Nichols; 16 step-grandchildren, many step great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, Roland (Carol) Pfutzenreuter, Melody Pfutzenreuter, Mark Pfutzenreuter, Julie Pfutzrenreuter; her sister-in-law, Margaret Pfutzenreuter; special friends, Mary and Caroline, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Roland Pfutzenreuter, her niece Holly Pfutzenreuter, her step-son, Richard Morrison, and her step-granddaughter, Colleen Linde.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette, with Dan Pulsfus officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
