Edith “Edie” M. Seanor

PORTAGE  -- Edith “Edie” M. Seanor, age 79, died on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Tivoli in Portage. 

Edith was born on November 4, 1933, in Vermilion County, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Lucille (Goodwin) Beeth.  She was married to Gene Seanor, he preceded her in death.    Edie enjoyed playing cards and drinking coffee every night. Family was always most important to Edie.  She was an excellent caregiver to her mother as well as taking care of the rest of the family.   

She is survived by her children, Dawn (Terry) Dersham, Portage, and Dave Seanor, Byron, IL; her brother, Lyle Beeth, FL; her grandchildren, Jeremy Dersham, Baraboo, Kelly Dersham, Portage, and Meghan Seanor, Sycamore, IL; her great-grandson, Hunter Lloyd, other relatives and many friends.  Edie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gene, and her sister, Phyllis Guhl. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Rev. Alan Boeck officiating.  Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The inspiration she inspired to others will live on forever.
