David Allen Gottschalk

ENDEAVOR  --  David Allen Gottschalk, age 57, died after a battle with cancer, on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Tivoli in Portage.

David was born on November 4, 1955 in Watertown, Wisconsin, the son of Kenneth and Rose (Pohlman) Gottschalk.  He was married on August 13, 1976 to Diana Butzine.  David and Diana owned and operated Grampa’s Swampside Bar in Endeavor for the past 10 years.  He had also raised horses and farmed for many years.  David loved the Packers and was a huge NASCAR fan.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Diana, Packwaukee;  his sons, Jim (Lynn) Auclair, Lake Delton, Steve Gottschalk, Packwaukee, and David Gottschalk, Jr., Livingston;  his daughter, Angela Gottschalk, Livingston;  seven grandchildren;  three brothers, Ed (Sue) Freson, Lake Mills, Charles (Terri) Gottschalk, Jefferson, and John (Pate) Gottschalk, Westfield;  nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Jennifer and his granddaughter, Desire`. 

A Celebration of Dave’s live will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Grampa’s Swamp Side, in Endeavor.
