Janet M. Mittelstaedt

PACIFIC TOWNSHIP – Janet M. Mittelstaedt, age 83, died on Thursday, April 29, 2013, at Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena.

Janet was born on June 1, 1929, in Portage, the daughter, of Rhinehardt and Margaret (Maass) Mittelstaedt.  She was married to Rodney Stewart, he preceded her in death.  Janet retired 23 years ago from St. Mary’s Hospital where she had been employed as a dietitian. 

She is survived by her brother, John “Jack” Mittelstaedt; her niece, Jane (Larry Wilz) Stewart; her nephew, Michael Stewart; her great-niece, Chelsea Kandel and her infant son Alex, and her great-niece, Lauren Jonas.  Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rodney Stewart, and her sister Dorothy Stewart.

There will be no services held.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Michaels Cemetery in Lewiston Township.

The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
