Marge A. Kaukl

PORTAGE  --  Marge A. Kaukl, age 91, of Portage, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at American Way in Portage.

Marge was born on January 1, 1924 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Eda (Nelson) Nash. She had worked as a social worker, and loved to travel with her husband, Marv.  Marge was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage, and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.  She loved all the pets.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Linda) Sheimo, Minnesota, Christine Hollway, Reedsburg, and Roger (Ginny) Sheimo, Jr., Portage;  her daughter-in-law, Diane Sheimo, Arizona;  her grandchildren, Chelsey and Micky Johnson, John (Lorie) Sheimo, Brenda (Ray) Johnson, Al (Janet) Stewart, Andy (Nicole) Sheimo;  her great-grandson, John Robert Sheimo;  her step-children, Barb (Tom, deceased) Pflieger, Ron (Willie) Kaukl, Ed (Theresa) Kaukl, and Linda (Howie, Jr.) Wiese;  her step-grandchildren, Hans (Lacy) Pflieger, Andy (Rebekah) Kaukl, Holly (Patrick) Bouche, Jeremy Kaukl, Kyle (Sara) Kaukl, Michael Kaukl, Kelly (Jason) Demerath, and Howie (Paige) Wiese;  nine step great grandchildren; her adopted grandkids, Amy, Brittany, Chelsey, Shelby, Morgan, Bryce, Cameron, Christine and Rick, Bailey and Bobby Jo, Gabriel and Cathleen Bishop, Rose and Gen Bishop;  nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marv, her son, John Sr., her sister, Florence, and her brother, Floyd.

Memorial services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage, with Pastor Dan Pulsfus officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
