L. Elizabeth Smith Lane

PORTAGE  --  L. Elizabeth Smith Lane, age 87, of Portage, died on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Divine Savior Healthcare Hospital in Portage.

Elizabeth was born on September 4, 1928 at St. Savior Hospital in Portage, the daughter of Floyd and Lillian (Smith) Smith.  She had worked for the State of Wisconsin at Central Care Center in Madison, and also at Catholic Social Services.  Elizabeth was a member of Moundville United Methodist Church, Pansy Rebekah Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children:  Kathleen (Gary) Fulmer, Endeavor, Robert (Peggy) Lane, Pardeeville, and James Vernon Lane, Portage;  her grandchildren:  Tammy Monroe Wagner, Endeavor;  Kisha Radtke, Westfield;  Alyssa Lane and her mother, Nancy, Portage;  Hunter and Bobby Lane, and their mother, Jean, Portage;  Kathleen and James P. Lane, and their mother, Sharon, River Falls;  her great-grandchildren, Zaccariah, Davilee, Micaila, Eliah, and Brodryc Wagner, and their father, Richard, all of Endeavor;  Dakota and Tessandra Radtke and Sophie Kukla, all of Westfield;  Nya, Leightan, and Lohgan Rogers, and their father, Reid, all of Slinger;  Andrew and Ariel Lane, Portage;  Jaxon Brathol, River Falls;  Collin Lane, River Falls;  special friend, John Grossman;  other near relatives and many close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bruce Lane, her granddaughter, Broni Fulmer, and her late husband, James Lane.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Moundville United Methodist Church, W5501 County Road O, Endeavor, with Chaplain Tom Drury officiating.  Burial will follow in Moundville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
