Georgiann M. Seaman

POYNETTE  --  Georgiann M. Seaman, age 84, of Poynette, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, October 24, 2015.

Georgiann was born on March 8, 1931.  She spent her early years in Virginia, Minnesota, where she met her childhood sweetheart, Stanley Seaman, in the 10th grade.  Georgiann went on to work for Ma Bell and waited for her true love to return from the Korean War.  They married on August 27, 1955, and together raised four children, Mary, Daniel, Susan and David.  They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.  Georgiann worked at Dekorra Elementary School as a librarian and special education tutor for many years.  She was very active at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette as a religious education teacher, choir member and floral coordinator.  Georgiann was also very actively involved with and very proud of her family and grandchildren, Ian, Anna, and Nicholas; and her great-grandchild, Milo.  Her faith was the foundation of her life and we rejoice in the knowledge that she is with her Lord and Savior.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette, with Fr. Paul Eruva presiding.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
