Linda Reid

BRIGGSVILLE  --  Linda Reid, age 63, passed away on January 26, 2016, at UW Hospital in Madison.

Linda was born on April 6, 1952, in New York, the daughter of Harrison and Grace (Denett) Carr. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, camping, dining out, and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was a dedicated Home Health Care provider with Homeward Bound of Sauk County.       

She is survived by her husband, Mike Reid, of Briggsville; her children, Becky (C.J.) Opitz of Sun Prairie, Sara (John) Kosterman of Briggsville, and Kevin (Becky) Reid of Briggsville; her siblings, Thomas (Marion) Carr of Ft. Worth, TX, Rick (Linda) Carr of Canastota, NY, Wayne (Kim) Carr of Charlotte, NC, Janet (Brian) Jones of Statesville, NC, and Susan (Robert) Casler of Durhamville, NY, and Mary (Rick) Bersani of Syracuse, NY; and six grandchildren, Jordon Kosterman, Dawson Kosterman, Mason Reid, Alex Opitz, Elexys Kosterman, Nolan Reid, Gabrielle Gavinski and Hallie Gavinski. She is further survived by special friends, Mary Betancourt and Sherri Fry, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Harold and Grace Reid; her mother-in-law, Ruth Reid and her brother-in-law, Jeff Reid.

Memorial services will be held at Briggsville United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Susan Oeffler officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be private.       

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the UW Hospital and Carbone Cancer Center for their excellent care of Linda.
