Carlene A. Lapacek

ARLINGTON TOWNSHIP – Carlene A. Lapacek, age 17, of Arlington Township, passed away at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Carlene was born on April 1, 2000, in Iligan City, Philippines. She was entering her senior year at Poynette High School. Carlene loved to sing, play guitar and clarinet, and spend time with her family. She had a great interest in fashion and music.

She is survived by her parents, Denver and Ofelia (Lasmarias) Lapacek; sister, Carly Lapacek; brother, Denver Lapacek II; grandparents, Kathryn Lapacek, Philip and Hilaria Lasmarias; and special friend, Brockton “Jonah” Aldridge. She is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Frank Lapacek.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Poynette, Wisconsin, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Balaraju Eturi presiding. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Poynette. Visitation will be at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Poynette (www.pmmfh.com) on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for future consideration.
