Lawrence “Larry” Norman Mohr

MONTELLO – Lawrence “Larry” Norman Mohr, 70, of Montello, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017, at his home.

Larry was born in Tomahawk, to Norman Mohr and Dorothy Kees (Sutherland) on January 18, 1946. In April of 1967, he married Arlene Baumann and they were later divorced. He worked for Drott Manufacturing and Wausau Steel in Wausau. He then married Nancy Rosemark on July 1, 1980, in Portage. He worked for H. Samuels Recycling Company in Madison for 38 years before retiring in 2008. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on projects in his garage. He raced lawnmowers as a sport in the 1980s. He also enjoyed playing pool and spending time with friends at the Cottonwood Bar & Grill. He was known by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as "Tall Papa".

Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy Mohr of Montello; sisters, Jean Nelson of Colorado and Nancy Dayton of West Bend; daughters, Fay Mohr of Rothschild, Sue Mohr of Oshkosh, and Crystal Mohr of Baraboo; grandchildren, Kendell Mohr of Rothschild, Stevie Kay Klump, Hailey Klump, and Alicia Klump, all of Neenah; seven great-grandchildren; his good friend, Randy Heinzel of Portage; and many friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Lloyd Kees; brother, Gary (Vera) Mohr; and sister, Shirley Amond.

No services will be held but a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
