Robert D. "Bob" Fredrick

PORTAGE/ENDEAVOR – Robert D. “Bob” Fredrick, age 67, of Endeavor, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Harris Villa in Westfield, surrounded by some of his loved ones. 

Bob was born on February 4, 1952, in Portage, the son of William and Jean (Zink) Fredrick.  He graduated from Portage High School in 1970.  Bob was well known as a dozer operator especially for road construction and pipelines.  He worked for Timme Construction, Alan Fredrick, Michels Construction and various other companies.     

He is survived by his sons, Eric Carter Achterberg Fredrick and Carson Robert Fredrick, both of Middleton; his mother, Jean Fredrick of Endeavor; his brother, William C. (Marianne) Fredrick, of McChesney Park, IL; his sisters, Marilyn J. Fredrick and Denise A. (Joe) Chapman both of Endeavor; the mother of his children, Laura Achterberg of Endeavor, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Fredrick and his nephew, Jason Fredrick.

Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Pastor Terry Temanson officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
