Eugene A. "Geno" Herrington

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP – Eugene A. “Geno” Herrington, age 87, of Caledonia Township, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019, at his home in Caledonia Township. 

Geno was born on January 20, 1932, in Portage, the son of Arthur and Thelma (Gorsuch) Herrington.  He served his country in the United States Navy.  Geno married Jane E. Burright in 1980.  He had worked at Ray-O-Vac, also as a plastic fabricator, and part-time at Kwik Trip.  Geno had been a member of the Pardeeville American Legion.   

He is survived by his brother and sister, Carl Herrington, and Jane Bahr, both of Pardeeville;  his children, Kimee (Danny) Satter, of Portage, Karla (Duane) Hollendyke, of Pardeeville, Kelly (David) Rusher, of Portage, Kori Herrington, of Pardeeville, Kandi (Paulo) Munaro, of Stockton, California and Kriste (Matt) Claussen, of Florence, Oregon, Bobbi (Chris) Vernon-Herrington, of Portage, Debra (Larry) Mielke, of Portage and Brenda (Michael) Mossbarger, of  Fort Wayne, Indiana, many grand and great-grandchildren, his first wife, Nancy Herrington of Pardeeville, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jane Herrington, her son, Russell Heaton, a grandson, Jeremy Dickinson and a son, Regi Herrington.   

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage (www.pmmfh.com), with Rev. Gloria Stubitsch officiating.  Inurnment will be private at Silver Lake Cemetery at a later date.  Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m., with visitation following from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
