Dale William Kluge

BARABOO – Dale William Kluge, age 54, of Baraboo, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

Dale was born on October 28, 1964, in Portage, the son of Don and Patricia (Haase) Kluge, and was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Portage. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Markesan on June 9, 1991. Dale was very passionate about his carpentry, and especially enjoyed finish carpentry. He loved building houses and working side jobs. He was a “Ford guy” and loved his Mustangs, which he enjoyed racing at Road America. Dale was quite a cook, and loved to watch cooking shows. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and other motor sports. Dale was a proud member of the Markesan Lions Club and had participated in a bowling league.

He is survived by his son, Tim (Andrea) Kluge; his daughter, Amber Sell; his step-son Gunner Lerch; his parents, Don and Patricia Kluge;  his brother, Don Kluge; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Marcella Haase, and George and Esther Kluge; his uncle, Bob Haase, and two aunts, Sharon Churchill and Georgia Bortz.  

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with Chaplain Gloria Stubitsch officiating. Burial will be private in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be planned for the summer of 2019.
