Robert Carl “Bob” Kottwitz, Jr.

PORTAGE – Robert Carl “Bob” Kottwitz, Jr., of Portage, age 63, passed away at UW Hospital in Madison on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

Bob was born on May 31, 1955, in Watertown, the son of Robert and Rose (Voegeli) Kottwitz, Sr. Bob was an over-the-road truck driver. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Connie Preuss, and her daughters, Kailey Osterholt and Rebecca Preuss; his children, Heather Hansen of Independence, IA, Heidi Kottwitz of Fitchburg, Christopher Gruenwald of Waterloo, WI; his grandson, Hayden Doremus; siblings, Ann (Dan) Dehasseler of Arkansas, Robin (Cindy) Kottwitz of Portage, Nancy (Wayne) Naatz of Lake Mills, Karen (David) Rindy of DeForest, Judy (Andrew) Walton of Edgerton; special niece who was always there to help Bob in time of need, Lindsey Rohloff; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage with Pastor David Hankins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
