Ronald E. Meeker, Sr.

MONTELLO – Ronald E. Meeker, Sr., age 73, of Montello, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Divine Savior Healthcare in Portage, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born on February 26, 1946 in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Charles and Marjorie (Woods) Meeker.  He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, Montello;  two sons, Ron (Natalie) Meeker, Jr., Iowa and Michael (Krista) Meeker, Prairie du Sac;  three step children, Mike Stensrud, Ripon, Bobbi Lynn Stensrud, New Lisbon, and Tonya (Jeremy) Stensrud, Portage;  his brother and sisters, Gary (Bonnie) Meeker, Baraboo, Charlene Mentek, Trevor, WI, Mary (Dave) Bartelt, Portage, Pam (Ed) Leake, Baraboo, Betty (Brett) Cohn, Wisconsin Dells, and Lorrie (Randy) Meeker, Wisconsin Dells;  nine grandchildren;  three great-grandchildren;  other near relatives and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Meeker.

Remembrance of Life will be held at The Northwoods, N6510 Hwy 51, Portage on Friday, August 30th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
