Julia Elizabeth Page

PORTAGE – Julia Elizabeth Page, age 88, of Portage, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Julia was born on November 24, 1931 in Water Valley, Mississippi, the daughter of Durley and Sarah (Fisher) Gray.  She married Charles Page on March 31, 1951 in Walnut Hill, IL.  Julia had worked as an assistant bakery manager.  She loved her family and her pets, her kittens and her dog “Ginger”.  Julia had been a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles;  her children, Charles Edward (Kimberlee) Page, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Jackie (Jeff Thommesen) Feist, Portage, Beverly (Jim) Connor, Portage, Tina (Pat) Rice, Brodhead, WI, Scott (Lori) Page, Rockford, IL, and Bruce Page, Trevor, WI;  grandchildren, Michele (Brian) Feist-Higgins, Heidi (Andy) Alcorn and her daughters, Emily and Eva, Rae (Ira) Feist, Leah (Pat) Gonzagowski, Pete Aliprandini, Christopher (Moona) Page, Matthew (Jennifer) Page and their sons, Benjamin Page and Parker May, Brooke (LaToya) Page, Colton Page, Austin Page, Amy Larke and her children, Michael, William and Dakota;  her sister, Christine (Buck) Sargent, Tennessee;  other relatives and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael, on March 3, 1973. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.  Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Charles Township Cemetery in St. Charles, Illinois.
