Sue A. Schmidtill

PORTAGE – Sue A. Schmidtill, age 72, of Portage, passed away at UW Hospital in Madison on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

Sue was born on July 20, 1946, the daughter of Kenneth and Florence (Meyer) Schmidtill. She worked for Divine Savior Healthcare in Portage for 50 years. Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the great nephew and nieces.  She liked shopping and loved her dogs.

She is survived by her nephew, Gary (Holly) Epstein of River Falls; niece, Kim (Rich) Weishoff of Portage; brother-in-law, Jon (Kathy) Epstein of Briggsville; very good friends, Nancy Schaper of Portage and Robyn Wall of Australia;  other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lynn Epstein.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2019 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage, with the Rev. Greg Hovland officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbia County Humane Society.
