Ruth L. Swacker

PORTAGE – Ruth L. Swacker, age 67, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019, at her home in Portage. 

Ruth was born on April 8, 1952, in New York, the daughter of Frank and Ruth Rose (Clark) Swacker.  She was a great mom and friend.  Very kind and caring, she was a drug counselor for almost 20 years.  Ruth made a difference in people’s lives.  She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing, and was an avid card player.  Most of all, she loved playing with her grandkids and spending time with her longtime love, Dan.                  
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Swacker; her grandchildren, Jayden, Connor and Mickey; her sisters, Fran (Mike) Kumbier and Carol Bertz; her partner, Daniel Antoniak, many nieces and nephews,   other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.   

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage is assisting the family.
