Victoria E. Winohradsky

Madison- Victoria E. Winohradsky, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Meriter Hospital in Madison.

Victoria was born on July 9th, 1966 in Oak Park Illinois (native of Cicero IL) the daughter of William and Natalie (Keizer) Havelka. Victoria attended Morton East High School in Cicero IL, before attending Morton College and receiving an associate’s degree. Victoria enjoyed doing many trades throughout her life, but what she loved first and foremost was being a mom and grandma. She treasured her children and grandchildren loving them with a fierce love only a mom could give.

Her hands rarely sat still, cooking for everyone, (her perogi breakfasts were the best) and crocheting slippers for all who had cold feet. She was an avid lover of her dogs, 80’s hair metal and history. This trivia buff could answer any question.

She loved gardening and enjoyed being outside. Many of her treasured moments included campfires in our backyard and teaching her grandchildren about butterflies.

Victoria was the strongest woman you could have ever known. Putting others before herself and giving abundantly. Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse. Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

She loved her family dearly, and was indeed our superhuman and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters Katrina (Bobby) Kaul and Nicole Winohradsky, mother Natalie Patula, Brother Michael (Shelly) Havelka, sister Avie Havelka- Johnson and Grandchildren Ella, William and Abigail Kaul. She is preceded in death by her brother James Havelka, sister Adrian Havelka , Step- Father Jack Patula, Son Timothy Winohradsky, and Father William Havelka.

A celebration of life will be held Friday January 24th 2020 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, WI. Visitation will be from 4-7pm with a memorial service at 7pm.
