Inger T. Kennedy

PORTAGE  --    Inger T. Kennedy, age 98, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Divine Savior Healthcare in Portage.

Inger was born on May 15, 1916 in Montevideo, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Anna (Neilsen) Dahl.

Inger is survived by her children, Trudy (John) Walechka, Pardeeville, and James W. Kennedy, Cross Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Christopher Walechka, Tracy Walechka, Kathryn (Eric) Farness, Nicolas Walechka, David (Amanda) Walechka, James K. Kennedy, Monica (Scott) Schier, Patricia Kennedy, and thirteen great-grandchildren.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.  Inger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James E. Kennedy, and seven brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage, with Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl presiding.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.  Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Columbia Health Care Center, where the family suggests memorials be made in lieu of flowers.
