Margarita E. Cuff

PORTAGE  --  Margarita E. Cuff, age 95, of Portage, was called home on Sunday, January 25, 2009.                 
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Tim Anderson officiating.  Inurnment will be in North Marcellon Cemetery in the spring.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.

Margarita was born on April 20, 1913 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Henrietta (Petrich) Small.  She was married on September 12, 1936 to Leland E. “Tink” Cuff.  He preceded her in death on January 17, 1998.  Margarita had worked for many years at the Portage Hosiery.  She was a member of the Portage United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Ruth Welch, Madison;  her sisters-in-law, Bina Small, Michigan, and Beatrice Small, Viroqua;  her special friend, Sharon Wagner, Madison;  other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leland “Tink” Cuff, brothers and sisters, Denver, Augusta, Julius, Elizabeth, Harry, Robert Jr., Richard and Alvie.
