Gustave W. Ebert

PORTAGE  --  Gustave W. Ebert, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at North View Gardens in Portage.

Gustave was born on April 9, 1922 in rural Pardeeville, the son of Henry and Wilhelmina (Nehls) Ebert.  He farmed in the Township of Lewiston for over 40 years.

He is survived by five children, Grace Ebert, Portage, Paul (Toni) Ebert, Portage, Lois (John) Slepicka, Endeavor, and Ralph Ebert, Endeavor, and Steve (Colleen) Sletten, Portage;  six grandchildren, Cory Ebert, Portage, Telo Ebert, Packwaukee, Jessica Slepicka, Endeavor, Steve Sletten, Portage, Michael Sletten, Portage, and Timothy Sletten, Portage;  a great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Ebert;  other near relatives and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy in 1968, his wife, Ramona in 2003, his brother, Henry, three sisters, Ruth, Esther, and Viva, and his son, Dave Sletten.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Victor Hillestad officiating.  Inurnment will be private.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage.
