Kyle W. Paske

PORTAGE  --  Kyle W. Paske, age 44, of Portage, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 5, 2010. 

Kyle was born on June 30, 1966 in Portage, WI, the son of Herman and Doris (Krueger) Paske, Jr.  On October 26, 2001, he was united in marriage to Julie Hornbeck.  Their marriage was blessed with two children, Brady William and Karli May.  Kyle loved spending time hunting, fishing, and with friends, but most of all family.  He had the gift of gab and could hold a conversation with anyone.  Kyle was a bridge crew foreman for the Columbia County Highway Department for the past 20 years.  He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Portage.  Kyle will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his great sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone, his caring way, and his gentle strength.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Julie, Portage;  his children, Brady, age 8, and Karli, age 5;  his mother, Doris Paske;  his brothers, Roland (Helen) Paske, and Merell Paske;  his sisters, Kim Paske, and Rona (Jim) Cross;  nephews and nieces, Brian (Chrissy, Emma) Paske, Matt (Kara) Paske, Lori Paske (Mark Wolfgram, Kali, Shaelyn, Josh, Jayden), James and Joshua Cross, Jimmy and Chelsea Hill, Dan Hornbeck (Shayna), Ashley and Elizabeth Hornbeck;  his mother-in-law, Edna Hornbeck;  brothers-in-law, Joe (Vicki) Hornbeck, and Chris (Nancy) Hornbeck;  sister-in-law, Cari (Scott Lawver) Hornbeck;  special friends, Mark and Colleen Zimmerman, with their children, Brandon and Jenny;  other relatives and so many wonderful friends, that Kyle truly treasured, whether he saw you every day or once a year.  He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Paske, Jr., and many aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Portage, with Rev. Alan Boeck officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Friday, at the church.

A memorial fund has been established by the family.
